A Little Surprise [For doesntdosheep]

CeCe hadn't been feeling too hot and she wasn't sure if a human body was meant to feel like that. She was feeling tired quite a bit, on top of that the nausea wasn't helping either. It was kind of confusing. Walking into Jim's quarters, she canted her head a bit just watching him. Moving over she slips into bed with him, laying down beside him.

She's a bit restless.

Jim watched as he nervously bounced on the balls of his feet. When Bones gave him for that look, he froze. Oh, fuck. "What? What's wrong with her?" he asked.

She wanted to know what was wrong too, especially with Bones acting like that. Reaching over she takes Jim's hand, eyes never leaving the doctor.

"I sure as hell hope you're ready for little ships running around, Jim." Bones states simply.

Jim gently squeezed CeCe's hand, his eyes still on Bones. When the Doctor finally spoke, Jim dumbly blinked. "Little ships? What are you talking about, Bones?" he asked.

Now CeCe was confused, she had no clue what in the world the good doctor was talking about. Though hearing the sigh from the older man causes her to scrunch her nose a bit. That is before that bout of nausea hits again.

"She's pregnant, Jim."

Jim mouth dropped open. Pregnant? CeCe was pregnant?! He felt the room start to spin around him and he was pretty sure he was going to pass out.

"I need to sit down." he said before plopping down on a chair.

"I didn't stutter, Jim."

That has CeCe just staring. She was what... They'd known that her human body was fully functional but this... that... they hadn't known.

"How is this even possible?" Jim asked in horror. "She's a damn ship!"

Yeah, he was probably being insensitive but being a father was not something he wanted. He knew he didn't have the skills to be a father!

"HUMAN body, Jim." Bones growls.

Yeah, insensitive was a bit of an understatement. Did Jim really think that she had the skills to be a mother? All she had was information in her databases about being one. She didn't actually know how to be one.

"Don't growl at me, Bones!" Jim yelled.

He looked over at CeCe and took a deep breath. "Are you going to be okay?" Jim asked.

"I don't know..." CeCe says with a frown wanting to sink down into that biobed at Bones growling and Jim yelling. She didn't like that.

"Come on, CeCe. Lets get you back to my quarters so you can lay down," Jim said. "We can talk more there."

"Okay..." Although Jim had her worried now, especially with his reaction to what Bones told him. Hell, she didn't know how to react to it. Getting up from the biobed, she leans into him.
